From The Other Side
The plan was to sail across Lyme Bay to Torbay and beyond, with one cruise having to change this to Ladram and along the coast due to the dark and inclement weather. One member was glad she had eaten a small breakfast and politely declined the pasties for lunch!! A later cruise had perfect weather conditions and made it down to Berry Head, an interesting passage showing in greater detail what we in the Tower only see through the scope(see below). Roberta, Bryn's tame seagull, was always on hand on departure and arrival back in the estuary, enjoying cheesy biscuits and a pouch of cat food, as well as any fresh mackerel caught on the way!! All in all, they were good days out and great to see the coastlne from the sea, but for those who experienced the inclement weather, which showed how difficult it is to steer against a fierce wind and on a spring tide, it fostered a new found respect for the sailing fraternity.
Many thanks once again Bryn, and we love the biscuits!!
