After 25 years and many alterations and additions, we have finally decided to refurbish the inside of the lookout, re-wiring to ensure its safety and to facilitate the necessary equipment. We are replacing all the shelving, storage and decorating. We wish to thank all the local businesses and members of the public who have supported us with this.
The lookout will be closed from 1st January for 3 weeks whilst this work is carried out, during this time our phones will not be operational and our point of contact will be email through our web site at www.exmouthcoastwatch.co.uk .
We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to re-opening with a refurbished lookout.

New Watchkeeper

Many congratulations to Debbie who has recently qualified as a volunteer watchkeeper at our station in Exmouth.  Despite Debbie being busy and working for the Devon Historic Buildings Trust she has found time to volunteer with us and to join our team of over 60 watchkeepers – all volunteers.   Welcome on board Debbie.

Mingle & Jingle

NCI Exmouth were invited to the Community Showcase, Jungle and Mingle in The Strand, organised by the Exmouth Town Council in collaboration with the Exmouth Christmas Village. It calls on community groups and organisations like ours, to participate and share the work of our watchkeepers.
The aim is to foster community spirit, with various groups sharing their activities, promoting volunteering, and highlighting their contributions to the area.
This gives our charity a platform to promote our volunteers who assist the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and showcase the safety we provide to the Exmouth Coastline.
Our Coastal Safety Officer and Coastal Safety Assistants were on hand speaking to others about keeping safe along the coast.

Tesco Collection Day

Thank you to Tesco, Salterton Road, Exmouth for supporting our National Coastwatch collection recently and thank you to those people who kindly donated to our collection in support of the work that we do here in Exmouth from our lookout on Queen’s Drive watching out for the safety of those on the sea, in the sea and on the beaches.
Thank you also to those of our Watchkeeper volunteers who came and helped.

Thank you to the Grapevine

A huge thank you to the Grapevine Public House in Exmouth for their donation for our new Operational desk within the tower lookout. The refurbishment is going ahead in January to help us help save lives at sea.
