Safe Water Mark Light Extinguished
Notice is hereby given that the ‘Exe’ Safe Water Mark (position below) light is extinguished.

The light will be replaced as soon as possible. Mariners are advised to navigate the
entrance to the channel with caution.
NCI Exmouth Presentation Team were invited to give a talk to a group called “Sidmouth Forum” based in Sidmouth. This group meet monthly for a range of activities and occasionally have guest speakers from local organisations. The group were told about our charity and how our volunteer watchkeepers are an asset of His Majesty’s Coastguard. The PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Hugh S, one of our trainers and supported by John F, one of our Veterans. It was well received with lots of questions about the dangers of the Estuary and the role of our organisation in Search and Rescue.

The scheduled reopening of the lookout has been delayed until Thursday 23rd January due to an electrical problem.
Last night NCI Exmouth held a General Meeting at The Police Club in Exmouth, where there were a few awards given out.
Certificates were presented by our Station Manager, Peter Oliver, to Anna A, Kris T, and Debbie P who all qualified in the last month.
A five year service award was given to Chris W, one of our trainers.
Finally, Fifteen year service awards were presented to Ruth B and Graham N, our Training Officer.
We thank all those watchkeepers for their commitment.
NCI Exmouth Presentation Team were invited along to the Estuary League of Friends Ladies Group who meet in Topsham at Nancy Potter House community hub. Our team also had the assistance of one of our Veterans John F. The ladies were told about the history of our charity and how our volunteers assist maritime agencies in keeping people safe around the coastline. The group asked lots of questions about how we help with public safety in the Exe Estuary. Thank you for your hospitality, coffee and biscuits!!
