St Elmo's Fire Aura
St Elmo's Fire Aura is an electrical phenomenon that causes a blue aura to emanate from certain structures during times of high static electricity, and is often seen by sailors on ships at sea during stormy weather. This is the yacht 'Electra' passing Dawlish Warren outbound from Exmouth.
Our colleagues from the RNLI lifeguards will be on watch on the beach 1000-1800 from 25 May until 1 September. Remember, always read and obey the safety signs, swim in the designated areas, never swim alone and, if you get into trouble, stick your hand in the air and shout for help. The RNLI lifeguards and Exmouth Coastwatch are keeping an eye out for you.
