Yesterday (7 Sep) our Volunteers at Exmouth NCI had a visit from two members of the South East Devon Habitat Regulations Partnership. Habitat Mitigation Officers Amelia Davies and Sama Euridge visited the lookout to take a look at our view of the River Exe and Dawlish Warren habitats. Their prime function is to regulate and reduce the human impact on our Special Protection Areas on the river. They also monitor unruly marine behaviour and safety issues so we will have a close working relationship as our function of water safety will crossover with theirs.
Incident - Dog Over Cliff
It must be the Summer weather!!! Nigel Epps has now qualified as our latest watchkeeper, further swelling our ranks. Congratulations Nigel and welcome.
Late Summer Cruises
With the end of Summer in sight one of our members boarded the Stuart Line jet rib to visit Sidmouth - in spite of the uncomfortable swell and driving rain it was well worth it with a perfect view of the Red Arrows flying overhead .......
..... and a week later, in perfect weather with blue skies and calm waters, and another member in tow, Pride of Exmouth took them to Dartmouth for the Regatta. A perfect end to Summer.
