Incident: Possible Yacht Sinking
Telephone call received from HMCG Falmouth following a 999 call from a member of public of yacht sinking in the estuary.
NCI Located yacht listing to starboard on CCTV with no visible persons on board.
Nearby café were not responding to phone and surrounding shipping not reacting to the yacht, reported back to HMCG, no further action needed.

Incident: Kite Surfer separated from kite.
Our watchkeepers took a call from HMCG following advice from member kof public that a kitesurfer had been separated from kite.
The watchkeepers were able to confirm that they were already under observation walking on sandbank and in no danger.
Requested by HMCG to continue monitoring.
Further update requested from HMCG as casualty seen walking some distance from kite.
Kitesurfer then launched from sandbank and returned to beach safety.
Incident: Conning the lifeboat
Request from HMCG, to monitor and observe 2 wing boarders on bearing 204 degrees at 0.8 NM .
Reported they were south of Pole Sands
Exmouth In-Shore lifeboat launched and the NCI directed (conned) them to the casualties.
1 casualty was picked up by the lifeboat, the other self recovered to Dawlish Warren.
Incident: Helicopter Rescue
Incident: Paddle boarder in difficulty
Following a call from a member of the public,of a potential paddle boarder in difficulty off Budleigh Salterton. Watchkeepers reported to the coastguard although no sighting on CCTV, we were asked to continue to monitor. The inshore lifeboat was launched in search of the casualty.
The lifeboat crew located the paddle boarder safe on the beach.
Incident: Swimmer in difficulty
Following a 999 call from the public to the Coastguard, NCI were asked to sweep surroundings for possible sightings of casualties Optics and CCTV checked but nothing visible.
HMCG later confirmed that a swimmer and dog had been seen in possible difficulty. Matter now resolved.
Incident: Kite surfer in difficulty
Watchkeepers were observing a kite surfer apparently in difficulty on the sand bank, a member of public also telephoned in to report. HMCG contacted who asked NCI to monitor, they also tasked the RNLI to launch the inshore lifeboat to assist.
Within 15 minutes the kite surfer was safely ashore.
Call from the public
Watchkeepers took a call from a member of the public concerned about what looked like surfers in difficulty in the sea at Budleigh. The watchkeepers used the CCTV to zoom in and were able to report that what looked like people was flags attached to a buoy.

Incident – Small Boat Adrift
Contacted by HMCG with request for sighting of small boat adrift in estuary. Nobody onboard. ILB tasked to recover potential hazard to shipping. NCI maintained observation until casualty vessel under tow. Boat later in marina and ILB returning to station.
