At 1353 on Friday 22 March 2019 Exmouth Docks experienced its Lowest Astronomical Tide (LAT) with the Low Water level 0.3 metres below Chart Datum (CD).

The LAT is the lowest level that can be expected to occur under average meteorological conditions and uses observations over the previous eighteen and a half years as a basis.

The extensive sandbanks in the approaches to Exmouth and the estuary can be seen from these photos provided by drone by one of our RNLI colleagues. Seafarers please note and take care.
