NCI Exmouth were invited to come along as guest speakers to Cumberland Grange Care Home in Exeter by their Home Services Advisor, Mica Yates. We were welcomed by the staff and residents and our Deputy Station Manager, John gave a presentation to some of the residents in the coffee lounge.
We highlighted how our volunteer watchkeepers keep a visual and listening watch over the beach and Estuary and how we fit into the Search and Rescue family reporting to His Majesty’s Coastguard.
The residents were aware that the 4th of August was Coastguard Day and wanted to be more informed about them and our charity.
